Supporting culture is one of the principal charitable goals of IOD Capital.  It represents a way for us to give back to the societies in which we are fortunate enough to operate.  Moreover, it allows us to engage, often at a very local level, with communities, and explain why we think what we do has societal value, particularly in the current environment of revulsion against the excesses of the financial sector specifically, and capitalism generally.

The arts, whether visual or performance, provide one of the most effective ways to reach a diverse base of stakeholders.  With this in mind, we have inaugurated Sammlung IOD: Collections as a platform to showcase emerging and established artists who we believe have something interesting to say.

We are delighted to announce that we have been working with a London-based artist, U. Kanad Chakrabarti, who will present an installation titled Derivative Work from 11-21 June 2015 in the premises of the Slade School of Fine Art in London.  Images from the exhibition will be available here.  Chakrabarti has been artist-in-residence in our Swiss and Russian offices and for his installation he has made and commissioned paintings and sculptures, created a short video, and borrowed documents and objects from our own collection.

Please find Press Release, List of Works, and an Interview between our curator Michael von Clemm and the artist.

U. Kanad Chakrabarti's personal website can be found here.
